Do you guarantee your services?

How does pricing work?

Your locksmith service usually includes a service or overhead charge. After that, we offer services. For example: If you want to change locks or rekey locks, there will be a service call charge and then a per lock re-keying charge. However, in the event a job is large, we may waive the service call. Unfortunately, a service call charge covers overhead, such as insurance, vehicle usage, tool wear, advertising, licensing, and other things.

Do you offer free estimates?

YES! David can estimate nearly anything over the phone at np charge. Sometimes, he will need a few pictures. However, there is a site survey fee of $95 and up if David needs to be there in person, assess your lock hardware situation, and provide a solution. If a job proposal is accepted, this fee will be waived in some instances. We are sorry to say that some individuals take advantage of our expertise, something we've taken 35 years acquiring, and call someone else or do the work themselves. This fee varies from place to place depending on travel distance and time. Please ask David about this when you call.

What Areas Does A-Best Locksmith Travel To?

What if my dogsitter or my neighbor is locked out of my house and I'm not there?

You will need someone to take responsibility for the locksmith service. That means the person you choose will need a letter with your name, address, and a photo of your driver's license. The letter must also state that you permit him to act as your representative. Please note in the letter the conditions of the situation and that you give A-Best Locksmith and David Calvin permission to pick or drill the locks to gain entry. If the locks need to be drilled due to pick resistance, A-Best will install a temporary lock to secure the premises. You will be responsible for finding a suitable matching replacement at the hardware store. If you need help installing the new lock, A-Best can return on a separate, chargeable service call. A-Best Locksmith will not act alone but instead act upon the orders of your stated representative, who will also show their driver's license before any work commences. Sorry, but we have been asked to commit crimes before, and we set a high bar for these kinds of jobs. The best thing to do is install an electronic lock and a non-locking doorknob or hide a key.
